Shem Leong is the ironguides triathlon coach in Singapore. He has been hooked on triathlon since winning his age group at his first Olympic Distance race. Many top performances later, he still enjoys the challenges of training and racing at a high level, while balancing work and family. He is a firm believer in living the active lifestyle and loves being able to positively effect his athlete’s lives through coaching.

In the 9 years that Shem has worked as a triathlon coach, he has helped 100’s of triathletes and runners achieve their goals; from newbies completing their 1st sprint triathlon, to Olympic Distance, 70.3 and Ironman World Championship Qualifiers. He understands the heavy demands of the age group athlete as well as the motivations that drive them, and is able to craft sustainable, effective training plans for their busy schedules. Shem’s attention to detail and care for his athletes are the hallmarks of his coaching style.

An Honors Degree in Health Science has given him the knowledge to expertly administer The ironguide’s Method so that his athletes understand how each training session works towards their ultimate goal. As a result, countless PB’s have fallen away as his athletes get fitter and faster.

Countless runners have also achieved PB’s at the half and full marathon distances through his weekly “Track Attack” running sessions that take place every Wednesday in Singapore at the CCAB Track, 21 Evans Road- 7.30 – 9.00pm. Email Shem for a free trail – shem.leong@ironguides.net
